WHAT
IS A Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC)?
Continuing
Care Retirement Communities (CCRC) allow seniors to “age
in place” with accommodations that are designed to
meet their health and housing needs as these needs change
over time. Many residents may enter into a contract with
The Philadelphia Protestant Home (PPh) while they are healthy
and active, knowing that they will be able to stay in the
same community should they need nursing care if needed.
A CCRC
consists of independent living, assisted living, skilled
nursing and rehabilitation. At PPh, all of these services
are provided under one roof.
The
major advantage of choosing a Continuing Care Retirement
Community is the flexibility to move between the available
housing options, as one’s needs change.
