Independent Living, The Philadelphia Protestant Home

There's really no place like home... when it's The Philadelphia Protestant Home. PPh is comfortable and affordable.

Our residents enjoy a quality of life with new adventures and friends and without the burden of home ownership. Best of all, PPh Independent Living residents have the security of knowing that PPh care and support services are always available, no matter how your health care needs change over time.

We have spacious studio and one- and two-bedroom apartments. Every apartment has a private bath, kitchen, storage, cable-ready connection, and heat and air conditioning. Many have balconies or patios.

Optional services available for a reasonable fee include housekeeping and laundry services.
You may enjoy one of our meal plans where the meals are served restaurant-style in our dining room, or grab a quick bite in our two eateries, The Café or Scoops.

The Dining Experience

The Philadelphia Protestant Home, Philadelphia, PA, (215) 697-8000

If you ask our residents what their favorite feature of living at PPh is - they will emphatically tell you, "It's the food!" Our staff oversees every detail of the culinary delights offered in our dining options. Each dining room features restaurant-style menu selections.

Each Independent Living apartment includes a beautiful kitchen, but other dining options are also available. Enjoy the service of our friendly dining staff in our formal dining room where lunch and dinner are served restaurant-style. The food is quality and the dress is casual.

If you are looking for a lighter fare, visit Scoops, our popular ice cream parlor. Besides ice cream and cookies, Scoops offers sandwiches, soups, hot dogs, hamburgers, and daily entrée specials. It's a great place to enjoy time with friends and family. The grandkids love it!

Another dining option is The PPh Café. The Café provides a hearty breakfast and afternoon fare. You may enjoy your food at The Café or take it back to your apartment. Whatever option you choose, you will not go hungry at PPh!
